Cause for Mass Appeal
Now in its 5th year, Elmwood Village Association's Mass Appeal event has teamed up with Evergreen Health Services' Cause for Celebration to become Cause for Mass Appeal (C4MA) - a multimedia fashion experience showcasing Buffalo's top designers, artists and performers.
Created through a shared vision of building and maintaining vibrant and healthy communities, the 2012 event will showcase a new church venue, incredible pre and post parties, and - as always - the highest level of artistic production.

Produced by Erin Habes (Lecturer, BSC Fashion Program), C4MA includes a 60 minute fashion show comprised of local boutiques, designers, artists, wearable art, drag queens, and professional and amateur models, all set to the music of Buffalo’s best DJs. This full-scale fashion experience will be illuminated by a one-of-a-kind light mapping display created by artist Keith Harrington exclusively for the 2012 show.
Elaborate pre and post parties will frame the main event, highlighting some of Buffalo’s best entertainers. Beginning at 6pm, General Admission ticket holders are invited to a club party hosted in the basement level of the church, featuring an acoustic performance by The Albrights and a cash bar. Meanwhile, VIP ticket holders will receive admission to the private pre-event VIP lounge – complete with complimentary champagne, beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres, and premium swag bag. Exclusive XXX- VIP ticket holders will also have access to an Oscars-style gifting room filled with complimentary clothing, accessories and beauty products from the area’s best boutiques.
Finally, all ticketholders will end the night in style with free admission to the C4MA afterparty. An event in and of itself, our amped-up afterparty will feature food trucks, djs, dancing, drag queens and a concert performance by The Albrights! The Church at Evergreen

Built in 1867 and expanded in 1881, the Prospect Avenue Baptist Church has recently been purchased by Evergreen Health Services and is in the process of being renovated. The 33,000 square foot facility was designed by local architect F.W. Caulkins and boasts an ornate sanctuary, original mahogany pews, and both Romanesque Revival and English Gothic Revival designs.
C4MA will be the public’s first opportunity to view this historic property since recent renovation projects have taken place!
